RØDE Wireless Micro Bluetooth iOS pairing now possible via firmware update
The new Direct Connect feature allows Wireless Micro transmitters to pair directly with iPhones using Bluetooth LE. Until now, iOS users needed to connect a dedicated Lightning receiver to capture audio. This update removes that requirement entirely, offering a cleaner, more flexible mobile setup.
Companion app adds more audio controls for mobile creators
The firmware update also enhances the RØDE Capture app with tools aimed at improving recording quality. A new noise reduction feature helps suppress ambient noise and can be toggled independently for each transmitter. Users can now also choose between merged or split recording modes—either combining both sources into one stereo track or isolating each for post-production.
Additionally, a new gain control feature allows users to adjust input levels directly within the app—useful for balancing levels in changing environments without needing external accessories.
